The very high-quality jersey knit and small amount of elastane make a great team.
Picture this: You can really stretch the sheet right out so that it wraps perfectly around the corners and underneath the mattress. The sheet will sheathe the mattress without a wrinkle, because after being stretched out, the fabric contracts back again. What we’re talking about is that wonderful combination of elasticity and elastic recovery.
TIP
We recommend you wash your sheet before first use. Not only is it more hygienic, it also creates our perfect fit, as all knitted fabrics shrink the very first time they’re washed. The degree of initial shrinkage has been carefully calculated in all our patterns.
Finally, thanks to a thick elasticated border, the edges of our fitted sheets always stay where they belong. Under the mattress.

Our combi sizes
We work with combi sizes: One sheet size will fit a range of mattresses. This is a practical side effect of our fitted sheets’ tremendous elasticity.
For example, Bella Donna Fine Terry (Edel-Frottee) in a size 13 will fit mattresses with a:
Width of 140 - 160 cm
Length of 200 - 220 cm
Thickness of up to 25 cm
TIP: To ensure your sheet fits perfectly, please do not use the upper limits of all three measurements (width, length and thickness) in combination. In this case, the measurements 160 x 220 x 25 cm (WxLxT).
If you’re reaching the upper limits of all three measurements, we recommend choosing the next size up. One of our specialist retailers will be happy to help you with this somewhat tricky question.
TIP: If you know the dimensions (WxLxT) and the approximate hardness/softness of your mattress, your specialist retailer can find the perfect sheet size for you.

Like all of our products, Bella Donna Fine Terry (Edel-Frottee) is not your standard terry sheet – its superb quality sets it apart.
Supercombed, high-quality compact yarn creates the soft, thick pile of this fitted sheet. Unlike conventional yarn, the individual fibres of compact yarn are compacted so there are no break points in the thread and no fibre ends protrude, leaving no rough surface on which pilling can develop.
Robust and sophisticated thanks to plenty of raw material and high-quality compact yarn.
Beautiful shimmering colours
Our Bella Donna Fine Terry (Edel-Frottee) receives a complicated technical finish in Germany. It is dyed and finished with aloe vera, giving the cotton an additional care finish that results in terry cloth with a beautifully silky sheen.

Opaque, soft and wonderfully warm
Bella Donna Fine Terry (Edel-Frottee) is our heaviest sheet after Bella Donna Premium. Not only do we incorporate a lot of raw material, but the terry pile is naturally thicker than a jersey pile. The typical terry loops are extra small, so the sheet almost resembles velour and feels just as fluffy. Thanks to the many fine loops, the sheet is also very robust, opaque and particularly warm and cosy.
Terry can feel so soft.
Finest materials, naturally tested and certified
Cotton is a wonderful raw material, but unfortunately it doesn’t grow in Germany. We source our cotton yarns and our super-fine elastane thread from selected German yarn dealers. The yarn we purchase is then knitted, dyed and finished in Germany[RAG1] . Around 95% of our products are made in Germany. A small but vital part is also carried out by a family business in Slovakia.
Our products are tested for harmful substances and certified by OEKO-TEX® Service GmbH.

ClimatePartner certification – our contribution to climate protection
Since 2019 we have been working with ClimatePartner AG and supporting climate protection projects worldwide. In response to understandable public criticism of the lack of standardised guidelines around green claims and the resulting risk of greenwashing, ClimatePartner AG has come up with a new label – one that is transparent, far-reaching and guided by binding reduction targets. We have been using this new assessment process since 2023: We have completed the 5 steps for successful climate protection in cooperation with ClimatePartner and have received ClimatePartner certification for our company and our products.

All our Bella Donna Fine Terry (Edel-Frottee) fitted sheets come with a care label, which also shows the size. The ‘clever corner’ with the label is designed to fit over the top right or bottom left corner of the mattress.
